Following the April 5thparliamentary election results in the Republic of Moldova, in which the Partidul Comuniștilor din Republica Moldova won nearly 50% of the vote, thousands of people began a series of protests largely organized through Twitter, SMS text messaging, and Facebook. The protests moved quickly andParliament was stormed.
