CITS Names Two Research Fellows

Join us in welcoming our newest Research Fellows to CITS!

We’re pleased to adopt the university’s new designation, Research Fellow, for two distinguished individuals. Rather than visiting UCSB for a relatively short, single visit, Research Fellows have ongoing research relationships with one or more CITS affiliates, and we hope for many visits and collaborations with them over the years.

Our first Research Fellow is Mikkel Flyverbom, Professor of Communication and Digital Transformations at the Department of Management, Society, and Communication, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Mikkel is currently working on a project by Cynthia Stohl and others on organizational transparency in the technology industry.

Another new Research Fellow is Dennis Del Favero, Chair Professor of Digital Innovation and Scientia Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. A digital media research artist and academic, his work focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence systems in art. Dennis will be working primarily with our affiliate George Legrady, and will be visiting CITS and the Media Arts & Technology program at UCSB next Fall.

Congratulations and welcome to our new people.
