Abstract: Fuzzy Rogers and Burak Himmetoglu will give an overview of the computational resources available at the Center for Scientific Computing at UCSB and through XSEDE for Social Scientists and Humanists as well as any other faculty who are unaware of these resources.  They will cover the different types of available systems, benefits and drawbacks, and how to access them.  From there they will pick a few different Social Science specific software applications and describe their use.  And finally they hope to open a dialog about what other software applications, hardware, and research expertise would most benefit all researchers most especially those outside the fields that typically use these resources.
