About the Speaker:
Professor Inmaculada Guttiérez García-Pardo, is currently a CITS Visiting Researcher for Fall quarter of 2023. She is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Complutense University of Madrid. 

Presentation Abstract:

Prof. Guttiérez García-Pardo's presentation will discuss different approaches and applications of large language models in the social sciences, focusing on the use of machine classification for detecting democratically corrosive content in social media.
